Eligibility
CHANCES is a scholarship program for talented young people in Boroondara. Our program is aimed at providing opportunities and support for young people in our community experiencing financial disadvantage. Our focus is to provide support to facilitate educational achievements for motivated young people. Assistance is available in the areas of academic, creative and performing arts, cultural pursuits, and leadership programs.
CHANCES in Boroondara was developed to assist young people within Boroondara who have the skills and passion to achieve, however require financial assistance to complete their goals.
Description
Foundation Boroondara aims to:
- assist community development
- provide community leadership
- increase communication among various businesses, government, philanthropic and community groups
- promote effective giving
- raise awareness of significant community and social issues
- identify gaps in the provision of services
- create a lasting community asset
It also aims to make it easier for people to give during their lifetime, see the results of their donations and give the community an opportunity to plan for its own needs and aspirations.

We conduct two rounds per year, however special circumstance applications may be considered outside of these timelines. The next Round will occur in March 2010.
