Heritage

The Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) has two agencies responsible for managing Victoria’s rich cultural heritage, including Aboriginal cultural heritage and post-contact (non-Indigenous) heritage. Wur-cum barra aims to increase the diversity and responsiveness of the Victorian Public Service by increasing Indigenous employment across the public sector. The Department of Planning and Community Development has implemented its own Indigenous Employment Strategy to respond to the key result areas outlined in the strategy. The department is committed to increasing the representation of Indigenous people at all levels in its workforce.
