The Office for Youth leads the State Government’s commitment to working with the many diverse groups of young Victorians, and the communities and organisations they are a part of. It works to ensure that young people have the best opportunities to achieve their personal goals and to contribute to building a caring and connected Victorian community. youthcentral
youthcentral is the State Government website for young people. It offers a range of information and advice about careers and employment, education and training, travel, managing money and much more. youthcentral connects young people with information and services provided by the State Government and also provides opportunities for young people to participate in the project. Drug and alcohol-free entertainment and events
FReeZA provides safe and secure cultural events in a drug and alcohol-free environment. These events are held in local venues across metropolitan, rural and regional Victoria. Young people can join a FReeZA Committee in their local community and become involved in all aspects of organising FReeZA events. Visit FReeZA to find out more.
Grants and funding
The Department of Planning and Community Development administers grants based on three features of strong communities: planning, strengthening communities and building community infrastructure. Young people may be eligible for a number of these grants. Visit Grants@DPCD to find out more.

FReeZACentral is the Government’s initiative to help young people to establish themselves in the music industry. Aboriginal Affairs Victoria
Aboriginal Affairs Victoria is the Victorian Government's central point of advice on Aboriginal affairs including issues affecting Indigenous young people. Aboriginal Affairs Victoria promotes knowledge and understanding about Victoria's Aboriginal people within the wider community, and also administers legislation that protects Aboriginal cultural heritage in Victoria. Sport and recreation
Sport and Recreation Victoria provides greater participation opportunities for all Victorians including young people. This is achieved by improving the quality of community and international sport and recreation facilities, strengthening the capacity of sport and recreation organisations, supporting world-class sporting events and reinforcing the role that sport and recreation plays in building stronger communities.
