Victorian Community Support Grants

A mother and son playing at Ardeer PlaygroundThe Victorian Community Support Grants program aims to build stronger, more active and inclusive neighbourhoods and communities. These grants will support communities to build on their assets which range from local skills, knowledge and the strength of social connections and networks through to facilities, buildings and other infrastructure.

By developing and improving their assets, communities will be better placed to respond to the many challenges and opportunities facing Victorians such as population growth, climate change, disadvantage and rapid economic change.

The program supports projects that:

  • are community-driven with broad local consultations, support and engagement
  • create and improve opportunities for people to participate in community activities
  • deliver practical benefits for communities
  • involve collaboration between organisations and groups in addressing shared priorities
  • lead to long-term and lasting change.

The program provides funding in two main categories:
  • Building Stronger Communities for projects up to $500,000 and project planning up to $30,000; and
  • Building Community Infrastructure for projects up to $1,000,000 and project planning up to $30,000.
